Financial management and business process reviews
I conduct financial management systems and business process reviews. Clients include the Global Reporting Initiative (Amsterdam), Medical Aid for Palestinians (UK) and the ODI, for whom I was financial management consultant on an evaluation of UNRWA’s emergency programme in the occupied Palestinian territories. On the marketing side, I have developed cost-benefit and resource allocation models for ActionAid UK and Oxfam GB. I developed the Oxfam International federation’s financial standards and cost classification framework, and contributed to their tsunami accountability framework. I have experience in coaching in financial management at senior manager and director level.
Financial risk management
I advise INGO finance, programme and humanitarian managers on fraud risk management. I have conducted regional fraud risk workshops for SC-UK and Oxfam GB, in the latter developing guidelines that were incorporated in their anti-fraud policy.
